भारत का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार पांचवें सप्ताह भी बढ़कर 31 जुलाई को 692.9 अरब डॉलर पर पहुंच गया, जो फरवरी के 728.5 अरब डॉलर के रिकॉर्ड से बस 36 अरब डॉलर दूर है। आरबीआई के हालिया उपायों से जून से अब तक 40.8 अरब डॉलर का पूंजी प्रवाह हुआ है। आईडीएफसी फर्स्ट बैंक की मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री गौरा सेन गुप्ता का अनुमान है कि सितंबर तक भंडार 730 अरब डॉलर तक पहुंच सकता है। हालांकि, एचडीएफसी बैंक की साक्षी गुप्ता का कहना है कि आरबीआई के बाजार हस्तक्षेप और फॉरवर्ड डॉलर सौदों के निपटान से भंडार पर दबाव बना रह सकता है।
