Police recovered around 70 grams of gold, 1.5 kg of silver, Rs 1.70 lakh in cash, three country-made firearms and other items from the accused. Gumla Superintendent of Police Harish Bin Zaman said the gang, mostly from Odisha, was behind two major gold robberies at Palkot and Ghaghra. Acting on a tip-off, an SIT led by the Basia SDPO first arrested seven people and then four more after interrogation. Nine of the accused are from Odisha, one from Chhattisgarh and one from Andhra Pradesh.
