भारत में 14 अगस्त तक मानसून सीजन की कुल बारिश सामान्य से 13% कम रही। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, जून से सितंबर के मौसम में अब तक 498.9 मिलीमीटर बारिश हुई, जबकि सामान्य स्तर 570.7 मिलीमीटर है। पूर्वी और पूर्वोत्तर भारत में बारिश की कमी सबसे ज्यादा, 27% रही। दक्षिणी राज्यों में यह कमी 20% दर्ज की गई। मध्य भारत में बारिश सामान्य स्तर पर रही। ये आंकड़े मानसून सीजन के बीच की स्थिति बताते हैं, जिसका कुल आकलन सितंबर के बाद होगा।
