# 141 students get degrees at Apollo Medical College ceremony 2026-10-11T00:47:44+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Hyderabad, held its graduation ceremony on Saturday, 10 October 2026, for the undergraduate batch of 2020 and postgraduate batch of 2022. A total of 141 students received their degrees: 97 MBBS graduates and 44 MD/MS graduates. Dr B. Soma Raju, cardiologist and founder of CARE Hospitals, addressed the students, saying that medicine is a privilege and that human understanding remains irreplaceable despite advances in AI. Shiva Rama Krishnan, CEO of Apollo Knowledge, urged graduates to embrace AI or risk obsolescence. Since 2012, over 700 students have graduated from the college, and more than 90% of its alumni have secured postgraduate seats in India or abroad. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both outlets report the same event with near-identical factual coverage. Telangana Today leads with the gold medal awards and quotes Dr Soma Raju on practising with courage, humility and wisdom. Deccan Chronicle provides fuller quotes from Dr Soma Raju and Shiva Rama Krishnan, and adds exam result details such as 34 MBBS graduates securing first-class marks. Neither outlet adopts a political or critical stance: the coverage is uniform, ceremonial and institution-focused. The next step is implicit: the graduates will proceed to postgraduate seats or residency programmes, which the college says over 90% of its alumni have secured. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - telanganatoday.com (neutral report) Straight ceremony report, leads with gold medal winners - deccanchronicle.com (neutral report) Straight ceremony report with fuller quotes and exam results This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
