The accident happened around 4 am when the cab, driven by Hemanth, suddenly turned right from the service road onto the highway. The bike crashed into the cab's driver-side door. Toufiquddin died on the spot. Ayaan is in hospital. Police have booked Hemanth under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing death by negligence and causing hurt.
