# Three arrested in Udupi murder of Congress leader David D’Souza

Police arrested three men on Saturday for the murder of Congress leader and contractor David D'Souza, who was shot dead on August 7 at St Xavier's Church Complex in Padubidri, Karnataka. The accused, Raju (42) from Uttar Pradesh, Ajay Rastogi alias Anmol (23) from Uttarakhand, and Jiyahul Wajul Sheikh alias Deepak (38) from Bihar, were caught after a bus interception near Byndoor. Raju allegedly fired at police and was shot in the leg. Police say the killing may be a 'supari' murder linked to a financial dispute from construction work. CCTV footage captured the attack.
