The epicentre was in the Bhanwad area near the Hatgad mountain range, 5 km deep. Cracks appeared in houses at Bhadar in Surgana taluka and Nanashi in Dindori taluka, but no casualties were reported. Dams in the area were inspected and found undamaged. Tremors were felt in Nashik city and seven talukas, triggering panic. District Collector Ayush Prasad urged people not to fear or believe rumours.
