Two earthquakes of magnitude 5.5 and 4.3 struck Ladakh's Leh region within four hours on Thursday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said. The first tremor hit at 6:05 am at a depth of 10 km, followed by a 4.3-magnitude quake at 9:54 am. Both epicentres were in the Leh area. No casualties or major damage have been reported. The NCS advised using the BhooKamp app for updates. Ladakh lies in a seismically active Himalayan zone.
