The attackers, in camouflage and carrying automatic weapons, also burned a church and other property, according to the Tokpa Naga Village Authority. The incident followed the lifting of a counter-economic blockade by the Kuki CSO. Separately, on Monday in Senapati district, five abandoned houses in Kailenjang village were torched. The village had been empty since the 1993 Naga-Kuki conflict and again after recent violence, police said. No arrests have been made in either case.
