# 7 killed, 11 injured in Himachal bus plunge into gorge

Seven people, including the driver and conductor, were killed and 11 injured when a private bus fell 100 feet off the road near Chalunj Mor in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, around 7:15 am on Saturday. The bus, with 20-25 passengers on board, was travelling from Bairagarh to Chamba when it skidded off the Tissa-Bairagarh road and landed on a road below. Eyewitnesses told police the driver lost control while negotiating a turn, Times Now reports. Rescue teams from the NDRF, police, home guards and fire services reached the site. All injured were taken to hospital; six critically hurt were referred to Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College and Hospital in Chamba. The cause of the accident is still being investigated, officials said.
