The accused allegedly tried to sell 7 acres 32 guntas of land in Badala Ankalgi village. The fraud came to light after a complaint by Srishail Dattatrey Guruv, whose grandfather had purchased the land in 1998. Deshpande went to the sub-registrar’s office, gave his thumb impressions and signed an agreement to sell to another party, who is also an accused.
