During the week, technical professionals, students, educators, and STEM enthusiasts can access a variety of events, resources, and special offers from IEEE organizational units, societies, and councils. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting your career, participating in IEEE Education Week can help you reassess and realign your skills to meet market demands.

Here are some of the offerings:

• On 7 April, the keynote presentation by Kathleen Kramer, 2025 IEEE president and CEO, kicks off the week. Kramer is expected to discuss the future of education and the importance of engaging younger members and industry professionals in IEEE.
• The “Creating Impactful Community Service Learning Projects”webinar from EPICS in IEEE on 7 April discusses how to develop engineering solutions for community challenges, as well as the grant application process.
• IEEE-USA is holding the live stream webinar “Job Search Trends for 2025: What You Need to Know to Stay Ahead” on 7 April. Participants can learn what they need to focus on to stand out in an evolving landscape, including the rise of AI-powered hiring tools and the growing importance of soft skills.
• The “Inspiring Tomorrow’s Engineers with TryEngineering eBooks” webinar on 8 April is designed to provide insights from the publication series on how to explain complex concepts to school-age children. The free TryEngineering books cover artificial intelligence, engineering, semiconductors, and more.
• On 8 April, IEEE Educational Activities is presenting the “Learning in the Digital Age: Comparing Online Course Delivery Styles” interactive webinar. Jill Bagley, senior manager of the IEEE continuing education platform, plans to lead a discussion about the needs of today’s learners, touching on content design, delivery methods, and flexible learning formats.
• IEEE Women in Engineering’s “Conquer Impostor Syndrome to Advance Your Career” webinar on 9 April aims to explain the syndrome and its impact on individuals and businesses. The session is expected to present actionable strategies to build confidence and achieve professional goals.
• The IEEE–Eta Kappa Nu honor society is holding its virtual TechX Conference from 9 to 11 April. Experts including IEEE Fellow Dejan Milojicic, a Hewlett Packard Fellow and vice president at HP Labs, plan to discuss the latest trends in AI. Also planned are a job recruitment fair and networking opportunities. The conference is open to all.
• The “Planning and Delivering Effective Oral Presentations” webinar from the IEEE Professional Communication Society on 10 April is being presented by Alan Chong, director of the Engineering Communication Program at the University of Toronto. He is set to explain the basic tools needed to deliver impactful technical presentations and how to tailor them to diverse audiences. Participants can expect to leave with practical strategies for creating and delivering presentations.

The IEEE Education Week website lists special offers and discounts. The
IEEE Learning Network, for example, is offering a 25 percent discount on some of its popular course programs in technical areas including artificial intelligence, communications, and IEEE standards; use the code ILNIEW25, available until 30 April.
