Puducherry Chief Minister opens tertiary care hospital

Chief Minister N. Rangasamy formally inaugurated a new private tertiary care hospital in the city recently. Speaker R. Selvam, A. Namassivayam, Education Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan, Public Works Minister, P. Rajavelu, Deputy Speaker, U. Lakshmikandhan and R Senthilkumar, MLAs attended the inauguration of Vinayaka Missions Super Speciality Hospital (VMSH) situated on the Puducherry-Cuddalore Road.

A.S. Ganesan, Chairman of Vinayaka Missions, said the institution, billed as the region’s first corporate multi-speciality hospital, aspired to deliver compassionate, affordable, and world-class healthcare to patients.

Spread across five floors and 2 lakh sq. ft. with a capacity of 325 beds, VMSH will integrate multi-disciplinary clinical expertise with cutting-edge medical technologies, a press note said.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art emergency care and trauma services, advanced critical care units, high-end diagnostic services, modern operation theatres, and a wide array of super-specialty departments, it added.
