Four persons sustained grievous injuries when a minivan in which they were travelling overturned on Saturday.
A. Hariharan (28), a resident of Dadagapatti, was driving the minivan to shift a sugarcane juice machine from Salem to Yercaud. Along with juice shop owner Chandrasekar, his friends Natarajan and Murugesan were also travelling in the minivan. When they reached the 18th hairpin bend of Yercaud, the vehicle went out of the driver’s control and overturned. In the accident, the four sustained grievous injuries and were admitted to Yercaud Government Hospital. The Yercaud police registered a case and are investigating. Due to the accident, the traffic movement was affected in the locality for more than 30 minutes and later police cleared the traffic.
