Washington: Elon Musk, Donald Trump’s close aide until very recently, dropped a big ‘bomb’ on the United States President alleging that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files and that’s why they are not releasing them.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Musk, the ex-DOGE head, stated, “Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.”
He added, “Have a nice day, DJT (Donald J. Trump).” Musk further wrote, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out. Such an obvious lie. So sad.”
Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s friendship became the talk of the town when the latter endorsed the former in the run up to the Presidential election. The bonhomie between the two peaked during the first few initial months of Donald Trump’s presidency. However, the duo’s brotherhood ended up in a full public blow out after differences erupted over government matters and Congressional spending bill.
The rift first began after the former DOGE head and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s open criticism of Donald Trump’s spending bill.
Reacting to Musk’s criticism, the United States President expressed that he was disappointment with him (Elon Musk).
When the Tesla CEO reacted sharply to Trump’s ‘disappointed’ remark, their spat erupted in a full public blow up.
Donald Trump took to his Truth Social page and threatened to cancel Musk’s government subsidies and contracts saying, “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s governmental subsidies and contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”
“Elon was “wearing thin,” I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy electric cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went crazy,” Donald Trump wrote in another post.
Fuming out further, Donald Trump said that he don’t mind Elon Musk turning against him but he should have done this some months ago.
“I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress. It’s a record cut in expenses, $1.6 trillion dollars, and the biggest tax cut ever given. If this Bill doesn’t pass, there will be a 68 per cent tax increase, and things far worse than that. I didn’t create this mess, I’m just here to fix it. This puts our country on a path of greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” the US President wrote on Truth Social.
Responding to Trump’s threat of cancelling government subsidies and contracts, Elon Musk also threatened the US President saying he would decommission his Dragon spacecraft immediately.
In another post, Elon Musk put out a Twitter poll asking the users, “Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?”
