Sundarbans-themed trams take over Kolkata’s streets

The Sundarban Tramjatra Festival is a special four-day event, taking place from March 28 to 31, celebrating the rich flora and fauna of the Sundarban. This festival highlights the unique connection between Kolkata’s iconic trams and the vital Sundarbans mangrove ecosystem, while also raising awareness about the impact of climate change on both regions, recognised as vulnerable hotspots.
