# Ameen, AR Rahman’s son, escapes with minor injuries in Guindy crash

A.R. Ameen, son of composer A.R. Rahman, escaped with minor injuries after the Porsche he was driving collided with a Rapido Wagon-R near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy around 3.30 am on Monday. Ameen and his friend were taken to Kauvery Hospital and discharged after treatment. A passenger in the Wagon-R was injured and admitted to Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital, later discharged. The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing seized both vehicles and registered a case. Police are examining whether the cab entered Jawaharlal Nehru Road from a side road and whether either vehicle was speeding. CCTV footage from the area will be used to reconstruct the accident.
