Corroboration: 6 independent outlets

The makers of Nithiin's upcoming film Alias Rukmini have introduced Bollywood actress Aafiya Sayed as the title character Rukmini through a new glimpse. The film is directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, produced by Deepthi Ganta under Nani's Unanimous Productions, and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on 4 December. The glimpse shows Rukmini as a strict school teacher whom students describe as a devil, Hitler and the homework police. Nithiin plays Krishna, a writer of romantic books. The film's release date was chosen after Prabhas's Fauzi was postponed, according to thehansindia.com. Alias Rukmini will face Vishwak Sen's Legacy on the same day, thehansindia.com adds.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

All six sources report the same casting announcement and release date, with no editorial divergence. Thehansindia.com adds a competitive angle by noting the clash with Vishwak Sen's Legacy and the scheduling change after Prabhas's Fauzi was postponed, other sources omit these details. Telugu360.com frames the film as 'content-driven' and highlights producer Nani's track record. The coverage is uniformly promotional, with each outlet reproducing the makers' materials and describing the character in the same terms. No source offers critical review or independent reporting. The next concrete date is the film's theatrical release on 4 December 2026.
