Abhishek Bachchan has said he is ready for a Kajra Re 2.0 featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but added that convincing them would be required. In an interview with BBC Asian Network published on 2 October, he recalled shooting the original song for the 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli as a four-hour dance party on set directed by Shaad Ali. When asked about a sequel to the iconic dance number, Abhishek said he would 'love it' and was 'down for that', but added, 'You have got to convince Aishwarya and my dad, though.' The original song, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant, remains a cult favourite at weddings and parties. Abhishek is next awaiting the release of the film King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, scheduled for 24 December 2026.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

All three outlets report the same interview quotes and background uniformly, with no conflicting facts. The Indian Express adds a historical detail that the song was once at the bottom of the marketing team's list and that Amitabh himself was initially unconvinced, framing the song's success as an unexpected triumph. Hindustan Times alone includes details of Abhishek's upcoming film King, shifting focus to his current projects. The balanced take: the core news is Abhishek's openness to a sequel, with the caveat that family approval remains uncertain. No next step is named beyond the interview itself.
