# Abhishek Bachchan says Jaipur is where he and Aishwarya started dating 2026-08-20T19:20:59+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Actor Abhishek Bachchan, owner of the Pro Kabaddi franchise Jaipur Pink Panthers, has revealed that the city of Jaipur holds a special place in his heart because it is where he and his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, began their relationship. Speaking at a promotional event for the kabaddi league in Jaipur, Bachchan said the city is 'very special' to him as it was the backdrop for the start of their love story. Bachchan, whose team is based in Jaipur, shared the personal anecdote while discussing his connection to the city beyond the sport. The revelation adds a romantic layer to his known association with the Pink City, which he visits regularly for the Pro Kabaddi matches. The actor has been married to Aishwarya since 2007, and the couple has a daughter, Aaradhya. ## Indian Opinion Analysis This is a soft promotional moment timed to build buzz for the upcoming Pro Kabaddi season. Jaipur Pink Panthers, one of the league's original and most successful franchises, won the title in its inaugural season. Bachchan's public sharing of a personal story helps humanise the team ownership and connects the league to Bollywood's star power, which has been a key driver of kabaddi's growing viewership. The next season is expected to begin later this year, and such anecdotes keep the franchise in the news cycle without hard sports news. ## Coverage - ndtv.com Reports Bachchan's personal revelation factually, without sensationalism or editorialising.
