# ABVP launches ‘My DU, My Manifesto’ for DUSU polls 2026-08-24T14:13:41+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has launched the 'My DU, My Manifesto' campaign ahead of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections scheduled for September 18, 2026. Counting of votes will take place on September 19. The initiative aims to gather student input through QR codes and offline interactions with volunteers across DU colleges, which ABVP says will shape its election manifesto. ABVP Delhi state secretary Sarthak Sharma said the manifesto should reflect the real needs and aspirations of students rather than being drafted by a select few. The organisation will study all suggestions and translate them into practical policy proposals. Both timesnownews.com and hindustantimes.com report the campaign focuses on participatory engagement, with ABVP emphasising that the manifesto will be a reflection of student voices rather than organisational viewpoints alone. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both sources report the ABVP campaign as a neutral organisational announcement. timesnownews.com leads with the campaign's launch and includes more detail on ABVP's participatory framing and the QR code system. hindustantimes.com matches the facts but adds context by linking to a separate ABVP-NSUI clash story, subtly suggesting the broader political backdrop. Neither source offers independent scrutiny of the initiative's novelty or its likelihood of producing substantive change. Readers should watch whether rival student groups like NSUI respond with similar outreach, and whether ABVP's final manifesto demonstrably reflects the collected inputs. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - timesnownews.com (neutral report) Straight announcement of ABVP's campaign, no independent analysis or criticism - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Reports the campaign factually, adds related news link for context This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
