# UAE Blames Iran as ADNOC Tanker Hit by Missile in Hormuz

A missile struck an ADNOC-operated tanker in the Strait of Hormuz early Saturday, the UAE state oil company said. No injuries were reported, and the situation was brought under control, according to state news agency WAM. The UAE foreign ministry condemned what it called a 'hostile Iranian attack' on the vessel. Iran has not commented. ADNOC said 15 of its vessels have been hit by missiles or drones since the US-Israel conflict with Iran began, leaving one crew member dead and 20 injured. The Strait of Hormuz carries roughly a fifth of global oil consumption.
