# Afghanistan to host India in Delhi T20Is, Bangladesh tour in doubt

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has confirmed a three-match T20I series against India at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on September 13, 15, and 17. Though played on Indian soil, Afghanistan will be the official hosts. Revenue from tickets, broadcast rights, and sponsorships will go to the ACB, not the BCCI. India will effectively play as an away team at home. The series casts doubt on India’s proposed white-ball tour of Bangladesh, originally set for September 1-13. That tour was postponed in August 2025 amid political tensions and later hit by Bangladesh’s boycott of the T20 World Cup 2026 citing security concerns. BCCI president Mithun Manhas said the board remains committed to supporting Afghanistan cricket.
