The 1.6 km stretch is sanctioned at an estimated cost of Rs 329.63 lakh and will link Kawari with Awoora. MLA Kupwara Mir Mohammad Fayaz said he took up the long-pending demand as a challenge. The road has a carriageway width of 3.75 metres and is scheduled for completion in 548 days. Bhat Infrastructure is executing the work.
