Moitra said she reached the state-run property in Krishnanagar at about 6.15 pm, but received a call at 9.47 pm and a WhatsApp order at 10.52 pm citing annual cleaning. She said a crowd outside shouted “Jai Shri Ram” after she refused to leave and sought protection for women MPs. She also contacted the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Moitra shared the purported order, which said the circuit house would be unavailable from August 14 and that bookings confirmed before August 13 were exempt. She said her reservation met that condition. Nadia authorities had not immediately responded, PTI reported. The incident follows protests and alleged egg, vegetable and stone attacks involving TMC events in Nadia.
