With a range of 4,000 km, the missile fills a gap between the 2,000-km Agni-II/Agni-Prime and the 5,000+ km Agni-V. It can reach deep into nearly all of mainland China and parts of Southeast, West, and Central Asia. Developed by DRDO, the Agni-4 carries a 1,000-kg payload using a two-stage solid-propellant system. It can be launched from a mobile tandem launcher, ensuring rapid deployment. The missile uses an advanced guidance system with ring laser gyroscopes and flexseal thrust vectoring, achieving a circular error probable of less than 100 metres.
