# Agra to get Rs 3.46-crore Yamuna riverfront park

A 1,500-metre riverfront park is planned along the Yamuna in Agra, from Jhalkari Bai Chauraha to near Vedant Temple, under AMRUT 2.0. Free Press Journal reports that the project will cost Rs 3.46 crore and that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid its foundation stone on July 25, 2026. The park will include a pathway, open gym, fountains, lighting, benches, a 100 to 150-seat amphitheatre and parking for 200 vehicles. Officials also plan to remove garbage, use phytoremediation plants, preserve a view corridor towards the Taj Mahal and add dense plantation. The site is intended for walks, yoga, children’s play and small cultural programmes.
