The Economic Times reports that 98% of IT leaders treat digital sovereignty as critical, but only 52% have acted. India is an exception, with 62% of firms investing in sovereignty, backed by the ₹10,000 crore IndiaAI Mission and the Digital Personal Data Protection rules. Separately, The Hindu reports that the EU's AI Act, applicable from August 2026 with compliance deadlines pushed to 2027 and 2028, creates demand for compliance services that India's professional services firms can meet.
