# Air India pilot may lose licence if dope test is positive

An Air India flight from Phuket to Delhi lost about 300 feet of altitude after severe turbulence over Odisha on August 4, injuring some of the 137 passengers on board. The Airbus A320, flight AI2379, is now being investigated by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). Both flight crew underwent mandatory psychoactive substance screening after the incident. NDTV Profit reports, citing the pilots' body chief, that the pilot could lose his licence if the confirmatory test is positive. India TV adds that the Civil Aviation Ministry has termed the episode a serious incident.
