# Airtel profit rises 37% as postpaid additions hit record

Bharti Airtel’s profit after tax rose 37.3% year on year to Rs 8,167 crore in the April-June quarter of FY27, while revenue grew 18.3% to Rs 58,539 crore. The company added 1 million postpaid customers, its highest quarterly increase, taking the postpaid base to 30 million, or 8% of its total users. Brokerages linked the record additions partly to Airtel Fast Lane, a 5G network slicing service for premium postpaid customers. ARPU rose to Rs 264 from Rs 250 a year earlier, while India revenue increased 9.7% to Rs 41,214 crore. Airtel Money, which reported quarterly revenue above $400 million, is preparing for a London listing in the second half of 2026, the Times of India reports.
