Ajay Devgn has begun shooting for his upcoming action drama 'Chauhaan' in Kargil, Ladakh, returning to the region 23 years after filming 'LOC: Kargil' there. The shoot marks his first project in Ladakh since the 2003 war film, according to a source in Ladakh quoted by Bollywood Hungama. The film, directed by Neeraj Yadav and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma under Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions, is scheduled for release on October 1, 2027. The teaser, unveiled in June, featured the song 'Jumma Chumma De De' and ended with the dialogue, 'Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai.' The shoot follows the box-office success of 'Drishyam: The Conclusion', which reportedly collected Rs 245.50 crore net in India as of Thursday, 8 October 2026, according to trade estimates cited by The Times of India. The makers have not disclosed further details about the Kargil schedule.
