Akhil Akkineni’s rural action drama Lenin will begin streaming on ZEE5 from August 7, Binged reports. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film is set in the fictional Andhra Pradesh village of Sriramapuram in 1976. It follows an orphan whose life is shaped by love, village politics and old rivalries. Lenin released in theatres on July 10, 2026. Binged reports that the film has crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office, though audience and critical reactions have been mixed. Telugu360 reports that Akhil has finalised two scripts and may announce one soon. He is expected to begin his next film in September, with a 2027 release planned.
