Akshay Kumar gave Saif Ali Khan a Haiwaan-themed birthday surprise on August 16, sharing a video where he calls Saif his 'mera hero' while blowing out a candle on a cupcake. The video, released on Akshay Kumar's social media, teases the first song of the upcoming film Haiwaan, titled 'Mere Hero Hai Woh'. A little girl's voice is heard in the clip, hinting at an emotional bond between Saif's character and young actor Pahal Chaudhary, according to Bollywood Hungama. The song is set to release on August 16 and is expected to introduce the emotional core of the film, which stars Saif Ali Khan as a visually impaired protagonist. Directed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan is inspired by the Malayalam film Oppam. It also stars Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher, and Shriya Pilgaonkar. The film is produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

The coverage from Bollywood Hungama and India TV News is uniformly promotional and descriptive, with no critical or questioning angle. Both outlets present the birthday wish and song announcement as straight entertainment news, focusing on the film's cast, release date, and emotional narrative. India TV News offers a shorter, more concise report, while Bollywood Hungama provides additional details about the song's stills and the character's bond. The lack of any negative framing or scrutiny reflects standard entertainment journalism for a mainstream Bollywood production. A careful reader can accept the reported facts as accurate, but should note that details about the plot and character relationships remain vague, with the film over a year from release.
