Telugu star Allu Arjun has praised the Tamil action thriller DC, calling it a "Tamil classic" and urging film lovers to watch it. In a post on X on August 17, 2026, he described the film as "poetry for those who get it" and congratulated the team. He singled out director Arun Matheswaran for highest respect, called composer Anirudh Ravichander an "absolute master booster," and praised the performances of Wamiqa Gabbi and Lokesh Kanagaraj, whom he addressed as "my director" and "the biggest pillar of support." DC, which released on August 7, marks Lokesh Kanagaraj's acting debut under Arun Matheswaran's direction. The film stars Lokesh Kanagaraj, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy. It crossed Rs 50 crore in ten days and is now aiming for the Rs 100 crore mark, according to Cinema Express. Allu Arjun's praise follows similar appreciation from Mahesh Babu, who called the film "original and outstanding." The actor's post also highlights his upcoming collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj on AA23, the latter's Telugu directorial debut, produced by Mythri Movie Makers with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Allu Arjun is also working on Raaka, directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures, with Deepika Padukone in the cast.
