# Amara Raja Net Profit Up 16% to Rs 190.9 Cr in Q1

Amara Raja Energy & Mobility reported a 16 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 190.9 crore for Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 164.8 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations jumped 24 per cent to Rs 4,215 crore. Sequentially, profit fell 39 per cent from Rs 314.3 crore in Q4 FY26, which included a Rs 181.15 crore net exceptional item. Revenue from the lead-acid batteries segment rose 22 per cent to Rs 4,005 crore. The new energy business posted revenue of Rs 209.3 crore, up 73 per cent, but reported a loss of Rs 22.1 crore. Basic earnings per share stood at Rs 10.43. The company also said the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board revoked closure orders for certain plants after related petitions were disposed of.
