# 29th Amarnath Yatra Batch Heads to Baltal Under Security Cover

The 29th batch of the Amarnath Yatra left Jammu for Baltal on Friday, with 926 pilgrims travelling in 42 vehicles. The convoy passed through Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway under multi-tier security. A separate convoy of 133 pilgrims returned from Baltal to Jammu. The previous day, the yatra resumed after a one-day suspension linked to security arrangements around the seventh anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, ABP Live reported. Its 28th batch had 1,801 pilgrims. ABP Live also reported that more than 4.71 lakh pilgrims had visited the shrine, while the latest Greater Kashmir report gave no cumulative figure.
