# American shooter wins US title after training in New Delhi

American shooter Jeff Browning won the 10m air rifle title at the US National Championship in Camp Perry, Ohio, within a month of returning from nearly two years of training at New Delhi’s Topgun Shooting Academy. Representing Virginia State, he also received the Leatherneck Trophy, one of the top honours at the National Matches. Browning, a competitive shooter since 2012, credited academy founder Shimon Sharif and his coaches with helping him maintain and improve his standards. The academy also held virtual competitions during the Covid-19 pandemic, attracting members of the US Olympic shooting team. William Shaner and Lucas Kozeniesky took part before winning medals at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
