Home Minister Amit Shah met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for nearly an hour on Friday as Parliament remained deadlocked. The Opposition is stalling Lok Sabha proceedings over police action against student protesters on July 20 and alleged theft of Ram temple donations. It wants Shah to respond. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the Opposition cannot dictate which minister speaks. He noted Shah is present in Parliament every day. Separately, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met Shah.
