Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy fainted on stage during the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Tirupati on Saturday, The Hindu reports. He had hoisted the Tricolour and was addressing the public at the Police Parade Grounds when he became unwell. Security personnel caught the minister as he began to collapse, while a medical team gave him first aid. NDTV reports that he had been standing and speaking for more than an hour before losing his balance. After doctors declared him safe, Mr Reddy continued participating in the celebrations, The Hindu said.
