# Andhra cites sharp rise in FDI, Union capital support under TDP

Andhra Pradesh received USD 608.59 million in foreign direct investment in FY 2025-26, up from USD 92.13 million in FY 2023-24, according to data cited by the Naidu government from a Lok Sabha reply. Inflows rose to USD 233.14 million in FY 2024-25. Metallurgical industries, industrial machinery and food processing accounted for much of the latest increase. The News Minute reports that Andhra received Rs 19,619 crore in SASCI capital loans during the TDP-led coalition’s first 2.5 years, against Rs 11,386 crore during the YSRCP’s four years. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said funds require complete proposals and are not reserved exclusively for Amaravati. The state government linked the higher support to stronger Centre-state ties.
