The scheme, launched on June 1, provides monthly financial assistance to eligible women aged 25 to 60 years. Around 2.16 crore applications were received before the July 31 deadline. Adhikari said applicants who submitted forms by July 10 and whose documents are verified will get the payment on August 17; others will receive it in phases. From September, payments will be made in the second week of every month, the chief minister added.
