# Antony Varghese film 7 Star Boys to release on September 4 2026-08-20T21:44:00+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Antony Varghese Pepe's upcoming film 7 Star Boys will release on September 4. The film is the Tamil dubbed version of the 2022 Malayalam film Aanaparambile World Cup. Produced by T Ashok under Phoenix Studios, the sports drama revolves around a group of children under 12 who are passionate about football. They idolise Antony Varghese's character, a local star player. When the children lack a proper ground to play, his character arranges one and later brings in renowned football coach IM Vijayan to train them. The cast includes Lukman Avaran, Balu Varghese, Nishanth Sagar, TG Ravi, and Raghunath Paleri. The crew includes music composer Jakes Bejoy, cinematographer Faiz Siddik, and editor Noufal Abdullah. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The original Malayalam film Aanaparambile World Cup, released in 2022, was a modest success in Kerala, earning praise for its grassroots football theme and child actors. The Tamil dubbed version aims to tap into the state's strong football fanbase, especially among younger audiences, and capitalise on Antony Varghese's rising popularity after his breakout role in the 2019 hit Kumbalangi Nights. The involvement of real-life football legend IM Vijayan as a character adds credibility to the sports drama. With no major Tamil releases announced for the same weekend, 7 Star Boys could find a decent opening in multiplexes and single screens across Tamil Nadu. ## Coverage - cinemaexpress.com Straightforward announcement of release date and plot details with no added opinion or spin.
