# Anupam Kher meets Yash, praises his KGF journey and Toxic 2026-08-24T09:18:18+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Veteran actor Anupam Kher met Kannada star Yash and shared a photograph on social media, praising his portrayal of Rocky in the KGF franchise. Kher wrote that Yash gave the character 'a soul, a swagger and an unforgettable place in Indian cinema.' He also described Yash as 'a warm, grounded and thoughtful human being' after their meeting at a studio. The Times of India reports that Kher discussed cinema, life, and dreams with Yash, and expressed hope that Yash's upcoming gangster action drama 'Toxic', directed by Geetu Mohandas, would receive tremendous success. NDTV's coverage notes Kher's admiration for younger actors and his reflection on cinema's beauty, without adding further details on the film. 'Toxic' has received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification and is scheduled for release in cinemas on August 26 in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and others. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both sources report the same event with near-identical framing: a celebrity appreciation post. The Times of India gives the full text of Kher's social media message and details of 'Toxic', including its cast and certification. NDTV's version is shorter but does not contradict. There is no political or ideological slant in either article. The coverage is uniform straight reporting. The concrete item to watch is 'Toxic's box-office performance after its August 26 release, as it marks Yash's first major project since the KGF franchise. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - timesofindia.indiatimes.com (neutral report) Straightforward report of Anupam Kher's social media post with film details - ndtv.com (neutral report) Concise restatement of Kher's praise, no additional angle or analysis This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
