Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has said the roughly 20-year age difference with his partner Shubhra Shetty made him self-conscious, especially as he grew older and she continued to look young. In an interview with Janice Sequeira, Kashyap said he once tried to push her away because he did not want to affect her career or future. The couple have been together for 11 years and now live in Bengaluru. Shetty said Kashyap encouraged her to experience life independently and return only if she chose to. They also discussed marriage. Bollywood Hungama reports that Shetty does not believe in marriage, while Kashyap said he wants to preserve their relationship. Kashyap was previously married to Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Koechlin.
