Police grilled suspended IPS officer and former Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Secretary P. Sitarama Anjaneyulu and Camsign Media Private Limited director P. Madhusudhana Rao in the APPSC recruitment scam on Monday (May 26, 2025).
The alleged job racket occurred between 2018 and 2021, when the APPSC issued Group-I Services notification for filling up of 169 posts.
It was alleged that the APPSC has taken up digital evaluation of the answer sheets against the rules, later evaluated the answer papers outside with a Hyderabad-based private agency, Camsign Media Private Limited.
Following a complaint, the Suryaraopet police of NTR Commissionerate registered a case and took up investigation. Police arrested Mr. Sitarama Anjaneyulu and Mr. Madhusudhana Rao in the case so far.
With the court giving two days of police custody for the accused, police questioned them on the second day in Suryaraopet police station on Monday.
Police questioned Mr. Sitarama Anjaneyulu on why the APPSC rules were violated, why the answer papers were sent out, how did Camsign Media Private Limited get the contract to evaluate the answer sheets, misuse of funds and other issues.
Investigation officers asked Mr. Madhusudhana Rao on who were the persons who evaluated the answer papers, how they came into contact with the company, money paid to the evaluators and other questions., it is learnt.
