# AR Rahman’s son Ameen injured in Chennai car accident, discharged

AR Ameen, son of Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, sustained minor injuries when his friend's luxury car collided with a cab in Chennai early Monday morning. The accident occurred around 3:30 am on Jawaharlal Nehru Road near Olympia Tech Park, as Ameen and his friend were heading to the airport. Both were taken to a private hospital and discharged after treatment. A passenger in the cab was also injured and later discharged from another hospital. The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing is probing the crash, including whether the cab entered the main road from a side road without care. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and taking statements from all involved. Ameen later posted on Instagram that everyone was safe and thanked well-wishers, saying his family's prayers "continue to guide and protect" him.
