# Arena Animation holds Perspectives 2026 with Shantanu Maheshwari in Mumbai 2026-08-25T01:47:01+00:00 | Business & Economy | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Arena Animation, the training brand of Aptech Limited, held the Mumbai edition of Perspectives 2026 on its campus, bringing together over 1,000 students with industry professionals. The day-long event featured actor Shantanu Maheshwari, actor Dr Amit Behl, and other speakers discussing AI in animation, career opportunities, and the evolving AVGC-XR sector. Students participated in keynote sessions, AI demonstrations, cosplay, and talent showcases like Arena's Got Talent. The Media & Entertainment Skills Council partnered as industry collaborator and Huion as technology partner. Arena Animation said the platform aimed to connect students with real-world industry perspectives and emerging technologies. The event also highlighted the institute's strategic focus on industry-academia linkages and original IP creation through initiatives like Arena Animation Originals. ## Indian Opinion Analysis India's AVGC-XR sector, which encompasses animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality, has been projected by the government's task force to need over 20 lakh skilled professionals by 2025. Industry bodies like the Media & Entertainment Skills Council, which partnered this event, were created under the National Skill Development Corporation to bridge this talent gap. Arena Animation, a brand of Aptech Limited, operates over 500 centers across India and competes with institutes like MAAC and Fx School. The key constraint remains training capacity and quality: while demand surges from streaming platforms and gaming studios, most graduates require months of additional on-the-job training. The success of initiatives like Arena Animation Originals in producing employable IP will determine whether these industry-academia platforms actually shorten that readiness gap. ## Coverage - bollywoodhungama.com Corporate press release framed as news, leading with event success and celebrity participation This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
