The drones can strike targets more than 100 km away and are designed to work despite heavy jamming and spoofing. Tata will supply 64% of the systems and Nibe 36%, after trials, technical evaluation and commercial bids. The Army is expected to use them against artillery positions deep across the border. Hindustan Times reports that the deals form part of a wider plan to induct tens of thousands of locally made unmanned systems over five years.
