Assam's Ashmita Chaliha beat fourth seed Han Qian Xi of China 14-21, 21-14, 21-14 in the Korea Masters final on Sunday, becoming the first Indian to win the tournament. The 26-year-old left-hander, ranked world No. 50, came from behind after losing the first game due to tricky drift conditions. She adjusted in the next two games, using patience to control rallies and seal the win in 53 minutes. This is her first BWF World Tour Super 300 title. The Guwahati-based shuttler had earlier defeated top seed Hina Akechi of Japan in the quarter-finals.
