Ashmita Chaliha beat compatriot Rakshitha Ramraj 21-13, 16-21, 21-13 in the semifinals of the Korea Masters Super 300 in Asan on Saturday to reach her first BWF World Tour singles final. The 26-year-old world No. 50, who returned in May after a knee injury (The Hindu reports), had earlier stunned top seed Hina Akechi. She will face China's Han Qianxi, who defeated Kim Ga Ram in the other semifinal. Rakshitha had upset third seed Tanvi Sharma in the quarterfinals. Indian shuttlers have now reached finals in multiple events this season.
